Vitamins- A Solution for Dry Skin
Dry skin is a condition, which occurs because of over disclosure to sunrays, hot weather conditions, vitamin A deficiency, winter weather conditions, and systemic illness. During this process the moisture from the skin is lost and as a result of which it starts cracking and peeling. Sometimes it also leads to itching, inflaming and irritation. Frequently taking baths also contribute to dry skin. One should use less amount of soap while taking bath when the person is suffering from dry skin.
There is no permanent answer for those people who have inherited the problem of dry skin. The only way to treat or minimize dry skin is by the application of lotions and creams. It is seen that the condition of dry skin also occurs during old age. During old age the body is not in a condition to generate adequate quantity of fluids and oils as needed. As a result of this the skin’s oily layer becomes dry and scaly.
Dry skin is also caused by inappropriate diet. Furthermore, the quantity of water intake directly controls the amount of fluid present in the body. Thus there is a decrease in amount of essential vitamins present in the body. Deficiency of vitamins A and B from the body makes the skin look dry. Fish, leafy vegetables and citrus fruit juices help in refilling these vitamins.
Deficiency of vitamin E from the body is the reason why the skin looks dull. This problem can be prevented by using the creams and lotion having adequate amount of vitamin E and thus lead to a healthy and glowing skin. Almond oil and olive oil are also quite affluent in Vitamin E.
